We listen, act, and transform
I started as a therapist almost 20 years ago working with men (and a handful of women) who struggle in their relationships. Since then, I have worked with Veterans for the last decade to find the right relationship with (and skills to care for) substance use, trauma, depression, anxiety and general well-being. Most importantly, I am a therapist with ADHD who really enjoys working with other neuro-spicy individuals. I enjoy working with folks to explore making changes in their escape behaviors such as drinking. We can also explore the idea of changing your substance use if you aren't thinking of stopping.
Working with me is an opportunity to explore who you are and find what you need to be able to experience your full vitality. I utilize a variety of approaches including CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic exploration, Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy, AEDP, somatic interventions, mindfulness, and more. In 20 years I've collected a large array of tools from a variety of perspectives!
Therapy doesn't need to be a place where we beat up on ourselves. You have probably done enough of that on your own. Above all else, we prioritize cultivating self-compassion throughout the process.
